Reports have surfaced that Everton boss Frank Lampard has been involved in a heated exchange with midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
After a poor string of results, pressure is mounting on Lampard at Goodison Park and the Daily Mail have claimed that Doucoure was sent to train alone as punishment for his clash with Lampard after their 2-1 defeat to Southampton.
This was followed by his exclusion from the squad that lost 2-0 to West Ham, prompting further speculation that Lampard could lose his job come Monday.
According to Sky Sports, the Everton board may be ready to dismiss him if he does not turn things around.
Doucoure had argued with Lampard both during and after their 2-1 home loss against Southampton, resulting in him being banned from training with the first team squad and instead ordered to practice individually away from distractions.
This suggests that there could be a growing unrest within the Everton dressing room and players such as Anthony Gordon and Yerry Mina have already seen themselves confronted by angry fans demanding change at the club.
