Frank Lampard has sent out a stark warning to Everton fans on the danger of potential relegation from the Premier League, after Saturday’s 2-0 loss to West Ham United.
Reminding them that “huge clubs” have been relegated in the past, and with current form, pressure on him and his team reaching boiling point – their lowest ever Premier League tally of 15 points in 20 games – it is clear the Merseyside outfit are up against tough odds.
“There is no given right to be in this league,” Lampard said while speaking to BBC Sport after Saturday’s game.
“We are going through these tough times and we must all work together to move forward.”
With 4 consecutive losses and no sign of victory since October 22nd coupled with zero goals scored in the last 10 meetings, Everton now sit 19th on the table level with Southampton at the bottom.
‘El Sackico’ has been bandied about in relation to David Moyes but Lampard may now be facing sacking if results don’t improve quickly.
