The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has recently made the decision to revoke 165 plots of land in the serviced districts of the Federal Capital City.
This includes plots owned by prominent Nigerians such as Peter Obi, Udoma Udo Udoma, and others.
The revocation was due to the violation and contravention of the terms of development of the Right of Occupancy and the failure of the owners to develop the plots.
The Land Use Act was cited as the basis for the revocation.
The affected plots are located in various districts within the FCC, including Maitama, Wuse II, Gudu, and Asokoro.
This action is part of the Minister’s efforts to address undeveloped plots and unpaid ground rents in the FCT.
