The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut down Quilox Club on Ozumba Mbadwe Street, Victoria Island due to the club’s failure to obey regulations concerning organising events and obtaining a sound control permit from LASEPA..

This decision was made following numerous complaints received by the agency from neighbouring residents.

On Sunday December 25th, 2022, General Manager of LASEPA Dr. Dolapo Fasawe revealed that invitations were sent out to Quilox Club and other stakeholders for a parley meant to tackle noise pollution during the festive period.

Despite this, the management of Quilox failed to show up, which led to its closure.

According to Fasawe, no one is above the law and that her team is making an effort to protect everyone’s interests while promoting economic growth in the State via environmental sustainability measures.
