Bubba the Love Sponge, once close to wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, has taken aim at the late icon’s wife, Sky Daily, and his friends over how they handled Hogan’s final days — www.naijnaira.com reports.
According to TMZ, Bubba used his radio show to criticize Sky and several others, including Brian Blair, Jimmy Hart, Eric Bischoff, and Missy Beefcake, for keeping quiet about Hogan’s deteriorating health.
The wrestling world was rocked Thursday, July 24, when Hogan passed away at 71 in Florida after emergency responders arrived at his home for a medical call.
Bubba, whose real name is Todd Clem, said he had been warning listeners since mid-June that Hogan was gravely ill and had spent several weeks in intensive care.
“I wish to God I wasn’t right, because being right means we have a dead Hulk Hogan,” Bubba stated, referring to his early claims about Hogan’s condition.
Tension between the two men began in 2012 after a sex tape featuring Hogan and Bubba’s then-wife Heather leaked, sparking a long-standing fallout.
While Hogan’s wife and others had publicly denied Bubba’s reports at the time, he doubled down on his position during the emotional broadcast.
He pointed to Hogan’s recent neck operation — a four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion — as proof of the severity of Hogan’s medical battle.
In June, Sky shared an update on Instagram saying the recovery from the surgery was “intense” and included breathing and feeding tubes.
She said the surgery had strained Hogan’s vocal cords and described the road ahead as “a long and layered healing process.”
“We’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience,” Sky posted at the time.
Bubba told TMZ that despite their public falling out, he felt deep sadness over Hogan’s passing and admitted fault for much of their feud.
“I’m heartbroken to hear of Terry’s passing,” he said. “I loved him as a friend while he was with us, and will continue to love his memory going forward.”
