President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, met behind closed doors on Friday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This came after Tinubu’s attendance at a dinner organised by the APC Progressives Sisters Network at the International Conference Centre earlier that evening.
Tinubu said he was invited to meet with President Buhari at 9:45 pm and emphasised that it was an “important” and “more or less command”.
Speculations of a conflict between the two had been circulating with claims of sabotage being aimed at Tinubu’s 2020 campaign.
Nevertheless, Buhari has given his support for Tinubu and expressed optimism about winning the upcoming election.
