Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark has completed a transfer to Austrian club RB Salzburg in a £10m deal.
The transfer agreement includes a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause and a matching-rights clause, which gives Liverpool the chance to buy him back in the future.
Clark is set to reunite with former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders who is now the head coach of Salzburg.
Clark is the second player to leave Liverpool this summer, following Fabio Carvalho’s £27.5 million move to Brentford.
Signed from Newcastle in 2021 for £1.5 million, Clark made 14 appearances for Liverpool, scoring his only goal in a 6-1 Europa League win against Sparta Prague.
He made a significant impact in 2024, stepping up when Liverpool’s midfield was hit by injuries and international call-ups.
Notably, Clark was an influential substitute in the Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea and played a key role in the FA Cup win against Arsenal.
Despite his promise, Liverpool’s crowded midfield led to the decision to sell Clark.
