A horrific incident in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe has left residents in shock after Pascal Dube allegedly stabbed his wife, Aquiline Sadziwa, 34 times with a kitchen knife and crushed her head with a large stone.
The couple had been separated and Sadziwa was residing at her lodgings when the attack occurred.
The reason for the attack is still unknown, and Dube is currently on the run.
During the attack, the couple’s baby was strapped to Sadziwa’s back, but thankfully was unharmed.
The police discovered 21 stab wounds when they arrived at the murder scene, but 13 more were discovered during the post-mortem examination.
Sadziwa’s father is pleading for closure and is distraught that the Dube family has not yet spoken to them since the death of his daughter.
The brutality of the crime has left many in disbelief, with one family member stating that “even an animal cannot be killed like that.”
