According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner of Manchester United, has made the decision to sack current manager Erik ten Hag and is looking to replace him with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Ten Hag had a successful first season at Old Trafford, leading the Red Devils to an FA Cup final, League Cup silverware, and a top-four finish in the Premier League.

However, this season has not gone according to plan, with Man Utd finishing at the bottom of their Champions League group and struggling to keep pace with the top four in the Premier League.

Recent poor performances have raised questions about Ten Hag’s future at the club, and it is now reported that Ratcliffe has decided to fire him.

Spanish publication Nacional suggests that Ratcliffe may also interfere in Barcelona’s search for a new coach. Man Utd is said to be negotiating with Brighton boss De Zerbi as their preferred choice to replace Ten Hag at the end of the season.

De Zerbi is also reportedly on the radar of other top-level teams, and it is believed that it will be difficult for Brighton to keep him at the club beyond the summer.

In addition to a potential managerial change, there could also be changes to the Man Utd playing staff in the summer.

Lille’s Leny Yoro is understood to be a target for the Red Devils, with Manchester United sending scouts to follow him.

However, the final decision on the transfer will be made by the new board in the summer.
