Manchester United have been dealt a worrying injury blow ahead of this weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, with star forward Marcus Rashford sparking doubt following a challenge from Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
After being replaced late in the match, Rashford posted an image on his Instagram story with a bandaged head emoji, suggesting there may be a problem.
Social media footage also showed him walking with a limp after the game.
If he does not recover in time for Sunday’s Wembley showpiece, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will surely be sweating on his talismanic attacker’s fitness.
Despite the doubt surrounding the England international, fans still remember his superb form this season which has seen him score 24 goals from 37 appearances.
Fellow Manchester United forward is also an injury doubt and battling to ensure he is fit for selection for the Wembley showdown.
