Reports suggest that Manchester United may not be able to make a blockbuster signing this summer, such as Neymar, due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo.
While the Brazilian star has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, the club is reportedly wary of going after another big-name player, especially after Ronaldo’s arrival caused a crisis within the squad at the beginning of the season.
United is said to be keen to move on from a Galactico policy and avoid signing another superstar who could cause problems in the dressing room.
As a result, Chelsea appears to be in the driving seat to sign Neymar at the end of the campaign.
Despite United’s lack of interest, a switch to the Premier League cannot be ruled out for the PSG forward.
However, Stan Collymore recently advised United against signing Neymar, labelling him as a “circus act” due to his off-field antics.
United has had mixed success with big-name signings in the past, with players like Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Paul Pogba, and Romelu Lukaku failing to live up to expectations.
