Along side the official release of the new Meizu M5 Note couple of days ago, they also unveil their first wrist band; Meizu Band. The wrist band is their first wearables, their entering point into the fitbit market.
The new fitness tracker from Meizu comes with amazing specs and it is ridiculously cheap. I have reviewed the Xiaomi Mi-Band 2, Infinix X-Band and Tecno T-Band here, i will do the same with Meizu band once we get our hands on it. In the mean time, below are the specs, features and price of the band in Chinese Yuan and US Dollar.
Meizu Band Specs, Features, Images and Price.
Meizu’s first fitness tracker is a touchscreen wrist band with a simple design, skin-friendly TPU material with reversal buckle belt and in-built AMS heart rate monitor.
It features OLED display which becomes invisible when not in use. From its OLED touch screen display, you can check time, heart rate, call & message notifications and other activity tracking data like daily steps, sleeping pattern etc. It works perfectly with Meizu’s fitness/health app.
Among its few features is the Move Reminder which remind you to get up and stretch your legs, if you have been sitting for a long time.
It can also be used to find a lost phone if connected via bluetooth and is within 10 meters range. Another awesome feature of the band is that you can swim and shower with it considering it is IP67 Certified. Meaning it is water and dust resistant.
Meizu handband can last you seven (7) days with the AMS heart rate monitor turned On and fifteen (15) days with the feature de-activated on a single charge. It can be charge by attaching it to its follow-come magnetic cable.
The new Meizu band is now available in China for ¥229 Chinese Yuan which is about $33 USD. There is no news of when or whether it will be available outside China.
