Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth, moving nine points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Mo Salah continued his impressive form scoring twice while Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker made key saves to keep Bournemouth at bay.
Despite the win, Liverpool faced a tough challenge from Bournemouth, who have been one of the season’s surprises and are now in the hunt for European spots.
One player attracting attention during the match was Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez, who has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season, and his attacking threat forced Liverpool manager Arne Slot to adjust tactics, moving Ryan Gravenberch wider to deal with the Hungarian’s runs.
The defensive changes helped Salah stay higher up the pitch, and the strategy paid off with a brace for the Egyptian.
Kerkez, who is close friends with Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, posted on Instagram after the match, sharing a photo with Szoboszlai with the caption “keep pushing and growing.”
Slot was asked about a potential move for Kerkez, He said: “I don’t think I have to talk about players that we are interested in, let alone a player from Bournemouth.
He’s playing over here and having a great season as many other players are as well.
“That shows you how good of a manager you have and a sporting director you had and maybe still have.
But he brought in very good players and this manager works with them incredible way because he brings the best out of every single player including the one you mentioned.
But I’m not talking about an individual. They are all bringing the best out of their game at the moment.”
