Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has made it clear that the club has no intention of selling their star striker, Victor Osimhen, this summer.
Osimhen has been instrumental in Napoli’s success this season, scoring 27 goals and helping the team win their first Serie A title in over three decades.
Despite interest from top European clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea, De Laurentiis is determined to keep Osimhen at Napoli.
He said: ‘I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer – no way.’
The striker himself is focused on celebrating the team’s historic achievement and has not commented on his future plans.
He said: ‘I am overwhelmed right now. It’s an amazing feeling.
‘We’ve waited so many years for this moment and to be able to deliver the Scudetto to the Neapolitans is something we will not forget and it will continue to live in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
‘I am happy for the squad, for all Neapolitans, now we can celebrate in our stadium and we’re going to enjoy it for life.’
