The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the release of the results for the 2023 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Unity Colleges.

According to David Adejo, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, a total of 72,865 pupils registered for the exams, with an increase in the number of female students taking the exam.

Lagos State had the highest number of registrations with 18,644, while Taraba had the lowest with 102.

Out of the registered students, 69,829 sat for the examination, with 3,036 pupils being absent.

The highest score achieved was 203, obtained by 76 pupils, while the lowest score was one mark, scored by six pupils.

Adejo commended NECO for conducting a trouble-free examination and assured that the Ministry of Education is committed to completing all admissions processes on time.

He also acknowledged the challenges faced by Federal Unity Colleges and assured that the government is working towards improving conditions for effective teaching and learning in schools.
