The tournament will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, with hosts Morocco facing Comoros in the opening match.
The holders, Ivory Coast, will compete in Group F alongside Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.
Uganda, returning to Afcon after a brief absence have displayed strong form during the qualifiers under Belgian coach Paul Put.
They face tough competition in Nigeria and Tunisia, who have both underperformed in recent qualifiers, though Nigeria reached the final in the last edition.
Uganda and Tanzania are also co-hosts for the 2027 Afcon.
In Group B, South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe will face Egypt.
Sudan, despite the ongoing civil war, qualified for the tournament and will compete in Group E with Algeria.
The 2025 Afcon draw was conducted by football legends like Mustapha Hadji, Serge Aurier, Joseph Yobo, and Aliou Cissé.

Morocco will stage the tournament across nine stadiums, including Rabat, Casablanca, Agadir, and Marrakech, with the final held at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
