Eleven electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) in Nigeria have applied for approval to review tariffs, citing the need to incorporate changes in macroeconomic parameters and other factors affecting the quality of service, operations, and sustainability of the companies.
The application was made to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and interested stakeholders are invited to review and provide comments on the rate review applications.
The applications can be accessed on the NERC website, and a Rate Case Hearing will be conducted before a ruling is made.
Members of the public and stakeholders are encouraged to send their comments or representations before the deadline of July 20, 2023.
