Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has issued a warning to Nigerians regarding the N8,000 palliative being offered by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Sani advised Nigerians to pray before accepting the N8,000, citing the negative outcomes experienced by those who accepted the “jazzed” N10,000 under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Tweeting, Sani wrote: “People who collected Buhari’s ‘jazzed’ 10k ended up in deeper poverty. Pray before you collect the next 8k.”

Tinubu had announced plans to transfer N8,000 to 12 million impoverished households in the country within the next six months.

This plan was outlined in a letter to the House of Representatives regarding a $800 million loan request for the social safety net program of Buhari’s administration, and Tinubu urged the House to secure the loan.
