Nigerian singer, Tems, has won her first-ever Grammy award at the 2023 edition of the awards show, which took place on Sunday night.
Tems was recognised for her contribution to the hit song, ‘Wait for U’ by Future featuring Drake in the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category.
However, her colleague, Burna Boy didn’t make it past his nominated categories: Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance.
Masa Takumi from Japan claimed this award with his album ‘Love Damini’ while South Africa’s Wouter Kellerman and Zakes Bantwini & Nomcebo Zikode took home Best Global Music Performance.
