Inter Milan are closing in on a move for Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman after agreeing personal terms with the Atalanta star, NaijNaira can report.
Sky Sport Italia reveals Atalanta want €50 million from Italian clubs, while foreign clubs have been told €40 million would be enough.
Inter Milan are sticking to the €40 million valuation based on a verbal agreement made with Lookman’s representatives last summer.
The Nerazzurri are not willing to pay above that figure and will proceed on those conditions only.
Should negotiations fall apart, Inter have drawn up a list of backup options from Juventus, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
Targets include Nico González of Juventus, Jadon Sancho of Manchester United, and Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku.
Sancho, who spent last season on loan at Chelsea, is no longer in United’s future plans.
Nkunku is reportedly among those Chelsea are open to offloading this summer.
Lookman has delivered 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances for Atalanta since his arrival three seasons ago.
He was a key figure in Atalanta’s 2024 Europa League title run and remains under contract until June 2027.
The 27-year-old wants the deal completed quickly and is waiting on the clubs to finalize terms.
