The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Government seven working days to end the cash crunch impacting Nigerians or face a nationwide strike.
At the opening session of the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Abuja on Monday, NLC President Comrade Joe Ajaero expressed his displeasure at the tough situation created by the cash swap policy of the Federal Government.
He further highlighted how current fuel scarcity is pushing Nigerians to breaking point and affirmed that if something is not done, workers across the country will be directed to stay away from work after seven days.
“NLC is giving the CBN and FG seven working days, if they fail to do the needful at expiration, all workers should stay at home,” emphasized Ajaero before adjourning into a closed-door session.
