Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalized with internal bleeding following a serious on-set stunt involving fellow actor Zubby Michael.
According to footage shared on social media by Nnadiekwe, the incident occurred during a recent film shoot where Michael allegedly delivered an unscripted kick to his chest, bypassing the director’s instructions.
In the behind-the-scenes clip, Michael is seen leaping over a barricade and launching into a forceful kick, which was not part of the original script, as stated by Nnadiekwe.
The actor revealed that he sought medical attention independently, claiming that no help was offered by the production crew after the incident.
Nnadiekwe’s management later confirmed in a public statement that his condition had deteriorated and required emergency care due to internal injuries.
“He is undergoing treatment for internal bleeding following an incident involving a kick on the chest during filming with his colleague, Zubby Michael,” the statement read.
The incident has ignited discussion about safety protocols on Nollywood sets, especially as many productions operate without insurance or proper medical support.
As of the time this report was filed, Zubby Michael has not issued any comment regarding the matter.
