Nollywood actor Femi Branch is at the center of a heated conversation following an alleged on-set altercation, NaijNaira can report, after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
Legit.ng reported that the actor allegedly slapped the first assistant director (AD) during a movie shoot on June 18, 2025.
Sources said the issue began when the assistant director questioned why filming started without the required production heads present.
Witnesses claimed Femi Branch reacted angrily, insulting and slapping the assistant director during the dispute.
In response, the crew reportedly blocked the actor from leaving the set until he agreed to offer a public apology.
“Filming only continued after an assurance of an apology was secured,” the crew confirmed.
Femi Branch later apologized to the assistant director and the rest of the team before work resumed on set.
Crew members commended their colleagues for standing together to uphold respect and zero tolerance for violence.
The video showing parts of the confrontation quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
Some questioned why the situation was made public after an apology was already offered.
One user said, “If the matter was resolved amicably, why bring it to the media to tarnish the actor’s reputation?”
Another person added, “Everyone must learn anger management.”
