Christians from the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) expressed their surprise and appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Christians into key positions, despite the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The All Christian Youths in Northern Nigeria (ACYNN) commended the President for appointing George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Gen. Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), and other Christians in his government.
They specifically highlighted their satisfaction with the choice of Musa, a Christian from Kaduna, to lead the Armed Forces, as he understands the impact of insecurity in the state and other parts of the country.
The ACYNN praised Tinubu’s leadership style, which they believe promotes inclusivity and grants a voice to marginalized Christian minorities in Northern Nigeria.
They expressed their gratitude to the President for these unprecedented appointments and called on well-meaning Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration in advancing the progress of Nigeria.
