Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a fresh three-year contract that will keep him at the City Ground until 2028, NaijNaira can report.
LeicestershireLive confirmed that the Portuguese coach, who was recently linked with a possible exit, has now committed his future to the club.
Nuno guided Nottingham Forest to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season, securing their best result in 30 years and booking a return to European football.
Speaking about his new deal, Nuno said, “I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic football club.”
He shared, “Since we arrived at Forest, we have worked extremely hard to create a special bond between the players, the fans and everyone at the club, which helped us achieve great things last season.”
The manager praised owner Mr. Marinakis for his support, saying, “I would like to thank our owner, Mr. Marinakis, for his constant support and backing.”
Nuno also said, “It is important to me to have a strong relationship with our ownership, and we have thoroughly enjoyed working together since I arrived at Forest.”
He added, “Now is the time to work harder than ever as we strive for more special memories together.”
Nottingham Forest are already making plans for the new season, which includes Europa Conference League matches while waiting for a decision on Crystal Palace’s Europa League spot.
The club recently renewed Willy Boly’s contract and is close to securing new deals for Ola Aina and Neco Williams, while also targeting Botafogo duo Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha.
