Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and gubernatorial candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have vowed to “conquer” African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential standard-bearer and free Lagos from “b0ndage.”
On Sunday, Mr Okowa was speaking during a rally attended by hundreds of PDP defectors from ADC.
During the gathering, Deputy Primate Adewole Ijaogbomo of ADC declared that they must “free Lagos state from b0ndage” so it can be restored to its past glory.
Mr Ijaogbomo added that in order to make this happen, all concerned parties would need to work together to end the current ruling party’s reign.
In response, Mr Okowa noted that winning the February 25 federal election was key for securing victory in the March 11 presidential election for PDP.
Ushering in a new era of good governance and reversing economic hardship were among his key goals, explained the Delta governor.
Finally, PDP governorship candidate Adediran proclaimed that with their collective efforts, godfatherism in Lagos would soon be a thing of the past.
