The track brings together a mix of talents, blending Asake’s Afro-fusion rhythm, Seyi Vibez’s creative wordplay, and Young John’s smooth delivery alongside Olamide’s sharp punchlines. In the song, they chant:
“To the bank o/ You know say money money make I dance o/ I am feeling funky/ Because I got a couple of milli lowkey/ Money make the world go round/ E no do me I want more/ E lo lomaje/ Padi mi ki lonso/ Meji Meji/ I am going to party like 99/ Need all my girls to get high tonight.”
’99’ is expected to be part of Olamide’s upcoming 11th studio album. The release also marks the first time Olamide and Asake have worked together since Asake’s exit from YBNL to establish his independent label, Giran Republic.
Olamide’s YBNL Nation, launched in 2012, has introduced several successful Nigerian artists, including Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy, and Chinko Ekun.
