Victor Osimhen’s next destination may not be Paris after all, despite recent links tying him to PSG. The striker has reportedly decided to continue his career at Galatasaray after an impressive 2024–25 season where he netted 37 goals in 41 appearances, NaijNaira can report.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Galatasaray have offered Osimhen a €16 million-a-year contract, which he has accepted. This move could sideline PSG and Manchester United, who had both been tracking the Nigerian forward’s availability. Previously, GIVE ME SPORT stated that United were increasingly wary of PSG’s potential to activate the £63 million release clause and meet his wage demands.
However, Napoli are standing firm on their €75 million valuation. Talks remain tense as Galatasaray declined Napoli’s latest bid, with disagreements over payment terms and a proposed sell-on clause.
Former agent Bruno Satin shared doubts about Osimhen fitting into PSG’s tactical setup: “Luis Enrique’s first choice isn’t to have a traditional striker,” Satin said via Kiss Kiss Napoli. “Bringing in Osimhen could complicate the current system.”
For now, Galatasaray seem confident of sealing the deal, provided Napoli ease their demands. Negotiations may continue if either side adjusts their stance.
