Paris St-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied any involvement in the attempted takeover of Manchester United by the Glazer family.
It is reported that Al-Khelaifi was contacted by the Glazers a month ago in an attempt to persuade Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani to increase his offer.
However, Al-Khelaifi has distanced himself from the situation, leading to speculation about the extent of Qatari involvement in Sheikh Jassim’s bid.
Sheikh Jassim has maintained that his offer was made in a personal capacity.
