Paul Pogba has been dropped from Juventus’ squad for the first leg of their upcoming Europa League match against Freiburg due to disciplinary issues.

The World Cup winner rejoined Juve during the summer transfer window, but suffered a knee injury during pre-season.

He finally made his second debut for the club last week, but will now miss the Freiburg match due to an incident in which he reportedly turned up late for a team dinner on Wednesday evening.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri had previously spoken about Pogba’s potential availability for the tie before news of his discipline came to light, mentioning that Pogba had a good training session and that he was likely to be available.

However, Allegri will now have to come up with another plan as Juventus aim to get back on track at home in Europe.
