Paul Pogba’s time at Juventus has officially come to an end as the Serie A club announced the termination of his contract on Friday.
This decision comes despite a recent appeal that reduced his doping ban to 18 months from an initial four-year suspension.
Pogba will be eligible to return to competitive football in March, but Juventus has opted to sever ties with the 31-year-old midfielder.
Upon his return to Juventus from Manchester United in the summer of 2022, Pogba faced numerous difficulties both on and off the pitch.
His short stint with the club was marred by injuries and disciplinary issues.
In a club statement, Juventus confirmed the mutual agreement to terminate Pogba’s contract effective November 30, 2024, despite it not being due to expire until 2026.
Pogba expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Juventus fans via social media, saying, “You gave me a lot, more than what I could ever say, and I’ll always keep with me the love you showed me. You’ll always be in my heart. Good luck.”
