The Federal High Court in Abuja has declared the expulsion of Senator Chimaroke Nnamani from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as null and void.

The court ruled in favor of Senator Nnamani, stating that the party did not have the authority to expel him.

The court emphasized that only the National Executive Committee (NEC) has the power to discipline a member of the National Assembly, not the National Working Committee (NWC).

The court also stated that the NWC cannot conduct a disciplinary hearing without giving the plaintiff a fair hearing.

As a result, the court nullified the suspension and expulsion of Senator Nnamani and issued an order restraining the PDP from taking any action based on the invalid decision.
