Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 presidential election, recently visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja.
This marks their second meeting in recent times. The meeting, which took place at the presidential villa, was focused on issues of national interest.
It is worth noting that there have been reports of discussions between Kwankwaso, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi of the Labour Party regarding a possible merger to form a strong opposition party to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
These discussions are still in the preliminary stages, and the outcome may be influenced by the court verdict on election petitions.
