The Benue State Police Command has revealed that a housewife, Mrs. Apev, has been arrested for killing her 10-year-old stepson, Fanen Yange.
Catherine Anene, the police public relations officer, said in a statement: “On the 23/1/2023 at about 1700hours, a case of culpable homicide was reported at ‘E’ Police Division in Makurdi and a team of detectives were sent to investigate.
This led to the uncovering of evidence that Mrs. Apev had beat fanen and caused his death.
The doctor has confirmed this and placed his corpse in Bishop Murray Hospital morgue for postmortem evaluation.”
