President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced new appointments for Hon. Gbajabiamila and Sen. George Akume.
A special committee, headed by the Chief of Staff, has been constituted to replace affected board appointments.
The committee’s responsibility is to create selection and nomination modalities in accordance with the law governing the requirements and qualifications of appointees in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) affected by the dissolution of boards and parastatals.
The committee will ensure thoroughness in understanding the agencies’ establishment Act, which mandates federal character representation or specified educational and technical expertise.
Other members of the committee include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Intergovernmental Affairs, and legal and private sector experts.
