The French league’s appeals commission has upheld a decision requiring Paris Saint-Germain to pay Kylian Mbappe €55 million (£42 million) in unpaid wages.
The ruling, made by the LFP’s legal commission last month, was reaffirmed after a hearing on October 15.
The LFP stated that PSG must pay the salary portions claimed by Mbappe, and this decision cannot be further appealed, though it can be brought before the French Football Federation’s executive committee.
Mbappe previously rejected mediation from the league, asserting that PSG owed him three months’ salary and a portion of a loyalty bonus.
The superstar forward joined Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
His departure followed a tumultuous relationship with the club, which had offered him a lucrative contract in 2022, but failed to fulfill promises regarding team reinforcements.
Tensions escalated when Mbappe informed PSG he would not extend his contract, leading to a summer of transfer uncertainty.
He declined a €300 million move to Saudi Arabia and faced exclusion from the team at the season’s start, only to return to the lineup after discussions.
Amid these conflicts, some fans booed him during his final home game.
Now, at Madrid, he has scored eight goals in 13 matches and is preparing for a clash with rivals Barcelona.
