Rashford and Zirkzee Score Brace to help Amorim Secure Win in Premier League Home Debut

Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee each scored twice to help Manchester United secure a 4-0 win against Everton in Ruben Amorim’s Premier League home debut.

Rashford opened the scoring in the 34th minute, with a low strike that deflected off Jarrad Branthwaite after being set up by Bruno Fernandes at a corner.

Zirkzee, making his first Premier League start since September, doubled the lead in the 41st minute, finishing from close range after Fernandes’ pass.

Everton had started well, with Beto missing a couple of early chances, but their defensive errors proved costly.

The game took another turn just 20 seconds into the second half, when Everton’s sloppiness allowed Amad Diallo to assist Rashford for his second goal.

Amad then created Zirkzee’s second, stealing the ball from James Tarkowski and laying it across for the Dutch forward to finish coolly.

The win moved Manchester United up to ninth in the Premier League, while Everton remain winless in five matches and without a goal in four, sitting just two points above the relegation zone in 15th.
