La Liga champions Real Madrid have reportedly verbally agreed to a deal worth €60 million to sign Brazilian whizkid.
According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Palmeiras have verbally agreed to a deal that will see Los Blancos pay €60 million to Palmeiras plus €12 million in taxes to acquire the in-demand Endrick.
And they plan to complete all the documentation by the end of the month.
Endrick has been one of the hottest properties in the transfer market despite being only 16 years old.
The teenage prodigy had already captured the attention of various European bigwigs due to his exploits at the Copinha aged 15.
And his stock skyrocketed after he broke into the Palmeiras first-team squad.
As rumours of a bid from PSG emerged, Real Madrid intensified the contact even more.
So it was hardly surprising when recent reports claimed that Real Madrid had agreed on personal terms with Endrick.
And the Merengues are now on the verge of securing the services of the 16-year-old.
An additional update from Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid will unlikely make the official announcement this week.
They still need a few more days to resolve minor issues with FIFA.
Once that is done, Real Madrid will sign the documents, and the official process should end within December.
It will be interesting to see if he takes Europe by storm when he finally arrives at the Bernabeu in July 2024 after turning 18.
