Liverpool and Brazil forward Roberto Firmino is said to have made Barcelona’s shortlist of five players they are considering to replace the departed Memphis Depay.
Having featured in 348 matches for Liverpool since arriving from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015, Firmino’s 13 goals and assists this season add to his impressive tally of 107 goals for the Merseyside club which includes Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup trophies.
His current contract with Liverpool expires in the summer; thus it is no surprise that both Barcelona and Liverpool are seeking a solution on his future.
Barcelona are reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes to be wanting a ‘cheap’, yet ‘good’ solution as they look to replace Depay.
