According to a report from CMW, Liverpool could sanction the sale of Thiago Alcântara in order to fund a move for Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella, who has a reported £70 million price tag.
The Reds are said to be aware that they may have to sell Thiago due to the fact that he only has 18 months left on his contract at Anfield.
While injuries have troubled the Spanish international since joining the club three years ago, it is believed that Liverpool need to strengthen their midfield and start planning for the future, as Stefan Bajcetic is likely to stay and Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Fabinho may be past their prime.
