Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, has claimed that the cabal in Aso Rock have been backing Atiku Abubakar’s campaign for the 2023 presidential election.
This will be in spite of the G5 Governors and their support.
The governor stated this previously during a PDP Campaign Flag-off Rally in Okrika LGA on Friday.
He stressed that regardless of any assurances made by the cabal, it is ultimately the people’s assurance that will determine the outcome of Atiku’s bid.
Governor Wike additionally declared that Rivers State must be integral to a successful campaign and victory for Abubakar, stressing that “if you don’t need Rivers State you must fail.”
