Tottenham’s Richarlison has gone on an explosive tirade against manager Antonio Conte in the aftermath of the club’s Champions League exit.
After being a substitute for Wednesday’s goalless draw with AC Milan, Richarlison questioned why Conte had dropped him to the bench after back-to-back wins over West Ham and Chelsea.
Richarlison voiced his frustrations in an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, where he was outspoken about his lack of minutes this season.
He also said it had been a “s***” season and admitted that even when coming off the bench he gave his all.
The Brazilian joined Tottenham last summer for £60m but injuries, inconsistencies and limited minutes have resulted in just two goals across all competitions – both in the Champions League – plus none in 17 Premier League appearances.
Upon completion of this season with no trophies to speak of for Spurs, attention will now turn towards getting into next year’s Champions League via a top four finish domestically.
