Two former commissioners in Kano State, who served during the previous administration of Abdullahi Ganduje, have passed away.

Alhassan Muhammad Dawaki, the former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, died at the age of 79 after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wives and 15 children. Barrister Zubaida Damakka, the former commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, also passed away on the same day in Abuja after a brief illness.

She was 55 years old and is survived by her three children and husband.

The funeral prayers for both individuals were held in Kano according to Islamic customs.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased, describing Dawaki as a prominent and respected figure whose loss has deeply affected many.

The governor also prayed for strength and comfort for the grieving families during this difficult time of mourning.
