Screening Process Begins for Ministerial Nominees by Security Agencies

President Tinubu’s Ministerial nominees are currently undergoing a screening process by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies.

According to the Nigerian constitution, the President is required to announce his Ministerial appointments within sixty days of assuming office, and with only 18 days remaining until this deadline, President Tinubu is expected to send the list to the National Assembly for confirmation soon.

Dele Alake, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, has stated that the list of ministers will be released in the near future.

As an executive presidency, the President has the authority to decide when it is appropriate to finalize his cabinet list.
