Nigerian superstars Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel and Rema took home awards at the 5th edition of Soundcity MVP Awards Festival.
The event, held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, celebrated hard work and dedication within the African music industry.
Fifteen categories were recognised throughout the night with Burna boy winning Artiste of the Year; Kizz Daniel taking home Song of the year; and Rema winning Digital Artiste of the Year awards.
Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif won the best hip-hop award while Tems was awarded the Best Female Award.
Pheelz and BNXN also took home the Best Collaboration award against South African DJ, Maphorisa, who scooped up the African DJ award.
Akon was given Legend of the Year whilst Magicsticks picked up Producer of the Year for his contributions.
Asake won Best Male Artiste and TG Omori took home Video of the Year for his track ‘Bandana’. Fireboy was named Best Pop for his song ‘Peru’; Ruger won Best New Artiste; Oxlade claimed Listeners Choice with ‘Kulosa’; and South African Costa Titch bagged Viewers Choice honour.
