According to sources, President Bola Tinubu is expected to send his list of ministerial nominees to the Senate after July 4th, when the Senate resumes plenary.
The battle for ministerial slots is heating up among incumbent and past governors, as well as party chieftains, with members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also vying for a spot on the list.
However, some APC leaders argue that only “genuine APC members should be appointed.”
Despite the lobbying, President Tinubu has not disclosed his cabinet picks, and even close aides are reportedly in the dark.
The infighting within the APC has also been noted, with the President allegedly refusing to listen to those fighting amongst themselves.
