Strike Over as LASU Reopens and Exams Get New Date

Lagos State University students are set to return to campus as management ends its strike after talks with the state government

Lagos State University has ended its strike after a resolution by the Senate and the Joint Action Committee following talks with Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat – www.naijnaira.com reports.

According to Channels Television, normal academic and social activities will resume from Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Students can return to hostels on campuses in Ojo, Ikeja, and Epe the same day.

The 2024/2025 second semester examinations will now start on Monday, August 18, 2025.

“Students are advised to return promptly and prepare adequately for the examinations,” the statement read.

The strike, which began on July 31, had halted all academic activities.
