Southampton’s Super Eagles players Joe Aribo and Onuachu, along with their teammates, were relegated from the Premier League after losing 2-0 to Fulham.

The defeat ended their 11-year spell in the English top flight.

Southampton is currently at the bottom of the league with 24 points from 36 games, while Fulham’s win moves them up to ninth.

In the match, neither team could take control in the first half, but Fulham scored in the 48th minute through Carlos Vinicius and sealed the win with a goal from substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic in the 72nd minute.

Aribo was an unused substitute in the game, while Onuachu started but failed to score or assist.

Leicester City’s Super Eagles players Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will hope to avoid relegation as they currently sit at 19th place in the EPL standings.
