Some reviewed that the phone lacks support for fast charging, and also Nightscape Mode for pictures taken under low illumination, pixel density is less, medium Processor and GPU, No C-type port. The exciting part of it is that it is not too revealing for an average user.

Tecno Spark 4 Price in Nigeria
Spark 4 Tecno is priced in Nigeria for 35,000 Naira for 2GB+32GB model, N40,000 for the 3GB + 32GB model and N45,000 for the 4GB + 64GB model.
It has more than enough to offer at its price. The screen size, Camera, and essential performance are decent. The issues with heavy gaming and multitasking are apparent.
However, a light user buyer spending this amount should not have any issues with the phone.
The 3GB RAM variant comes with Vacation Blue and Royal Purple color, and its 4GB RAM variant on Bay Blue and Majestic Purple color options. Spark 4 smartphone is already on sale across offline and online retail stores across Nigeria. Low in budget and packing all the goods, the phone is perfect for the price it’s going for.
Design & Display
Tecno mobile chose to make it simple with Spark 4 design, but with bold colors, which comes in a mid-range captivating body built.
Spark 4 smartphone is designed to modern standards, with smooth rounded corners, slim body, and sleek texture. It comes with 4 colorful gradients back cover – Royal Purple/Vacation Blue for the 3GB RAM size, and Bay Blue and Majestic Purple color for 4GB variant.
The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor, triple Camera, dual-LED mounted at the back, located right beside the camera setup.
Spark 4 smartphone is a significant yet handy smartphone, which comes with a full screen of the 6.52-inch display, which is quite more significant compared to its predecessor, the Spark 3, with 6.2 inches’ screen size. The HD+ IPS LCD touchscreen comes with a color depth of 16M.
The smartphone featured a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, which is precisely the same resolution on the latest Infinix Hot 8 with the same screen size, but have pixel density of 273 pixels-per-inch looks incredible awkward for such caliber of phone, when compared with the predecessor, Spark 3, which have a higher pixel density.
With a 19.5.9 aspect ratio displays, which allows the screen to stretches to the sides, giving the phone a cleaner, more attractive, and premium look., all with a thickness of 8.8mm.
With a 90% perfect screen ratio and high resolution, the world you explore through SPARK 4 would be much broader and more beautiful.
The camera quality vis-à-vis with video resolution is one of the significant criteria users’ priorities and consider when getting a new smartphone. Spark 4, unlike its predecessor, features A.I. triple rear camera accessories and a selfie camera of 8 M.P. waterdrop style.
The rearview indicated that the phone comes with a dual-LED flash, eight-screen mode, A.I. beauty, panorama, A.R. Stickers, custom bokeh, and HDR feature to improve the quality of the motion and still images captured.
Primary Camera comes with the PDAF (Phase-Detect autofocus), which ensure a sharp focus of the lens. The primary Camera comes with super 13 M.P., f/1.8 (wide) camera capacity. From my review, images taken with the primary lens camera comes with some an acceptable level of sharpness and clarity, but with a saturated colors roundabout.
Another con of this Camera is that it has a lower capacity of capturing blurry images in low illuminated environments, which comes with shallow detail. The second lens is of a 2 M.P. depth camera, and the final Camera, a low-light camera sensor.
Spark 4 Camera App comes with the Newly upgraded algorithm called the A.I. Camera 2.0, which added beautiful photography functions to AI HDR, A.I. Scene Detection. The selfie camera comes with A.I. Bright Camera, which hides its flashlights in the dot notch screen.
Hence, the selfie camera Images captured with the selfie camera are quality assured, noise-free, and well detailed, which can capture any memory at any time.
The front Camera of Spark 4 features an 8-megapixel selfie camera, with features bokeh effect, A.I. Beauty Mode, in-built A.R. Stickers, Wide-Selfie Mode, and A.I. portrait mode for perfect photography.
The phone front camera also serves as a Face ID unlock system for the device. It comes with the Closed-Eyes Detection on its 2.0 app version, which implies that more exceptional security measures as your phone can not be unlocked when you are sleeping or when you have your eyes closed.
Regarding the video capturing, Spark 4 can shot at 4K @60fps to an incredibly slow 7680fps slow-motion capture at 720p. Meanwhile, one can be sure to get quality captured videos the front Camera with a resolution of 1080p 30fps. The video quality impresses under well illumination environments, and not it isn’t great in the dark.
Hardware, Software & Performance
Spark 4 is among the dual entry-level memory size variance of 3GB OR 4GB RAM model, which we expect to be paired with 32GB OR 64GB of internal storage, expandable to 256GB through a dedicated microSD slot.
It is powered by a capable Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A22 processor, which is inbuilt with the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12nm) chipset. This CPU is quite similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Chipset that is used in most recent smartphones.
HiOS 5.0 company GUI software runs prudently on Android 9.0 Pie mobile operating system, and conservatively light on the battery. The Spark 4 Air Edition runs on Android 9.0 Go-Edition of the operating system.
The graphics user interface features A.I. Video Chat Beauty Mode, which invariably adds some comics and emoji’s while n use. Alongside the A.I. Video Chat are other personalized features like Game Mode – for the better gaming experience, Free space, game boost, network acceleration, notification optimization, and more new functions, which attribute to the speed and efficiency of the phone for itch-free experience for the users.
During the review period, which the phone was subjected to, it was observed, Spark 4 is such an average phone, considering the cost with its performance, for it practically handles all daily tasks flawlessly a phone should be subjected to.
Although the phone may be concluded as an average gaming phone, especially when tested with high graphics-demanding PUBG games, which affects some background applications, whereby switching from a task to another might be a nightmare for the users, alongside with the observation that it might heat up when used for long sessions.
Nevertheless, its performance is considerably impressive when put side-by-side with other much great ending resources phones, as there are little differences observed, despite that Spark 4 is powered by the latest CPU Chipset.
