Afenifere leader Ayo Adebanjo has called the outcome of the Nigerian presidential election a “sham,” arguing that Bola Tinubu’s victory is not valid.
Adebanjo also criticized those who have spoken out against former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter calling for an evaluation of the election, believing they should focus on answering the questions raised by Obasanjo instead.
He went on to express his disappointment with the conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stating that they need to answer to Nigerians why certain procedures were not followed during the election.
Adebanjo concluded by emphasizing that it is not a matter of winning or losing, but following legally established guidelines for conducting elections in order to maintain peace and order in Nigeria.
